A beautifully preserved Edwardian, 18 carat buckle ring that was hallmarked in Chester, UK, in 1908.
The wide and polished band forms a belt and buckle motif; an incredibly popular design through the latter half of the Victorian era and into the Edwardian period. A buckle symbolises loyalty, protection, and love that stays fastened through life’s changes, and as such, jewellery of this design were often gifted between friends and lovers.
Two star-set hand-cut old mine cut diamonds are showcased in hand-engraved star settings and their bright white twinkles perfectly elevate the buttery old gold.
